Boo Bash

On Friday 10/16 I attended the Boo Bash at the Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Michigan in Lake Orion. My job was face painting. The usual requests were pumpkins, butterflies and flowers, and my most unusual request was a fire breathing dragon.

It was fun to see all of the costumes. Happy Halloween! :)

These lovely ladies made sure I had an unlimited supply of tootsie rolls!

Detroit's Most Photogenic Baby Contest

Today I had the honor of announcing the winners of the Detroit's Most Photogenic Baby Contest at Oakland Mall. The proceeds from this contest benefit Children's Miracle Network! Detroit raised over $7,500 for CMN!

I ran into the 4th Runner Up from last night's Miss Princess Pageant, Mia!

Miss Princess Pageant

With a visiting queen!

On 10/10 I had the privilege of judging the Miss Princess Pageant in Clawson. It was a lot of fun. The contestants were ages 5-7 and they competed in Introduction, Casual Wear, Party Wear, Final Question and of course, Interview! It's so fun to interview 5-7 year olds!

Dr. Pepper/ Snapple Tailgating Party

This weekend most of the local titleholders along with Nicole attended the Dr. Pepper/Snapple tailgating party at Soaring Eagle Casino. Proceeds benefited the veterans of Michigan. Dr. Pepper/Snapple group is a huge supporter of the Miss Michigan scholarship program so I was excited to be a part of this event! I had fun getting to know some of our new titleholders.

Of course it was the U of M/State game so the energy in the room was intense! I'm not exactly a sports fan (my favorite part of any game is watching the dance team perform at halftime...can't help it, I'm a dance team coach!) but nonetheless, this was an exciting event.
